NFLAT-National Financial Literacy and Assessment Test

Financial literacy is a core life skill focusing on the knowledge, behaviour and attitude required to make responsible money management decisions. In 2005, the OECD recommended that financial education start early and be taught in schools.

In line with OECD recommendations, the National Financial Literacy Assessment Test (NFLAT) conducted by the NCFE encourages school students of Class VI to XII to acquire the basic financial skills necessary to make informed and effective financial decisions throughout each stage.

NFLAT was launched in 2013-14. Globally, it is one of the most extensive FREE annual financial literacy tests for school students.

Olympiad Examinations

Our school has tied up with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) to offer the following Olympiad examinations to our students.

  • SOF National Science Olympiad(SOF NSO)
  • SOF International Mathematics Olympiad(SOF IMO
  • SOF International English Olympiad(SOF IEO)
  • SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad(SOF IGKO)
  • SOF International Social Studies Olympiad(SOF ISSO

These examinations are offered to all our students, and interested students can take multiple examinations. the students clearing the first level are encouraged to attend the second level of the examination.

Necessary study materials are stocked in the school library for students’ reference.

NTSE

NTSE, or National Talent Search Examination, is a national-level exam the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) conducts to grant scholarships to deserving students studying in class 10th. NTSE is only held for 10th-standard students, and the exam is conducted in two different stages – Stage I and Stage II.

The main objective of organising NTSE is to award scholarships to potential candidates aspiring to pursue higher education in Science or Social Studies. With these scholarships, students can continue their education in their desired stream.

Our school library has enough materials to train the students for this examination.

KVPY

Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the most renowned educational institute in Bangalore, organises the annual Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana KVPY exam. This exam is open to students in Grades XI and XII.

Selected KVPY candidates are awarded generous fellowships up to the pre-doctoral level. Not only this, several summer camps for the KVPY fellows are also organised in various prestigious educational institutions across the country. Our school is actively participating in this program
