Co-curriculum
Art
Art education is an integral part of the Athena Global School curriculum, supporting the holistic development of every learner. Through creative expression, students build imagination, emotional awareness, critical thinking, and fine motor skills. Art fosters cultural appreciation, confidence, and problem-solving abilities, enabling students to communicate ideas visually and creatively. At AGS, the arts nurture well-rounded individuals who think innovatively and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Pottery
The pottery club is a new addition to Athena, it was inaugurated in the year 2022. Pottery Club is more than just a club about moulding clay, it’s a community with a welcoming and creative environment to spend your time after school.
Robotics
The concept and creation of autonomously operating machines dates back a long time, but credible research into the functionality and potential uses of robots did not grow substantially until the 20th century. Having said that, the Robotics Club at Athena in partnership with “Lego Robotic” strives to stimulate interest in robotics among the students of the institute. Besides making a serious endeavour to spread knowledge on Robotics and its diverse applications.
Silambam
Silambam is offered from grade III. It is a traditional Indian martial art that is incorporated to promote physical fitness, discipline, coordination, and cultural awareness. Regular practice enhances agility, reflexes, and mental focus while instilling respect and self-control. AGS values Silambam as a powerful blend of heritage, health, and holistic development.
Music (Vocal & Instrumental Pathways)
Music begins with vocal training to build pitch, rhythm, and listening skills. From Grade 4 onwards, students can choose instrumental specialisation in drums, keyboard, or guitar. Music education at AGS enhances concentration, discipline, and creativity, while providing a strong foundation for artistic and emotional development.
Dance (Western & Classical Streams)
Dance education at Athena is offered through both Western and Classical streams, allowing students to explore diverse movement styles. Dance enhances physical coordination, rhythm, expression, and confidence. Integrated into the routine, it supports emotional well-being and cultural appreciation while encouraging creative self-expression.
Yoga
Yoga is embedded into the school routine to promote physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance. Regular practice improves flexibility, posture, breathing, and mindfulness. At AGS, yoga supports students from Kindergarten to G X in their well-being and stress management in a structured academic environment.
